| Don't Go to Church Be the Church! On Oct. 21st we will cancel our 10am service to go out and serve. At Simpson UMC we are trying to better understand what it means to be a church. We’re starting by going into the community and volunteering. If this sounds like the kind of church you would like to come and see, join us on Oct. 21st! Below you will see a sample of the areas available for sign-up. Specific information will follow. STATIONARY (will take place in church area) Prayer circle for local community Letter-writing group to military or missionaries Bake cookies and take to fire station. IN MOTION (will go off-site or require walking) Rescue Mission to serve lunch, Rake leaves in our immediate neighborhood, Associated Churches Food Bank to sort food, Attend special worship service with pastor for Lutheran Home residents Nursing Home Visit Call 744-1169 or email info@simpsonunited.org if you would like more information or to sign-up!
